How to Update Prices and Products in Bulk

Many roasters will update prices on a regular basis. This article will walk you through how to do a bulk update of prices using the Product CSV.

Note: you can only update existing products, you cannot create new products

Product CSV

  1. Download a CSV of your current product list

name (top right corner) > Settings > Import & Export > Products > Download Product CSV

  1. Open it in google sheets or excel to make edits.
  2. Apply filters so you can easily see the products you want to update prices on.
  3. Update the prices
  4. Once you’ve updated the price level, you can save it in a CSV format
  5. Return to the Name > Settings > import export > Products page
  6. Upload the CSV into the app
  7. Spot Check a few Prices in to see the updates

Filters

If you have a lot of products the filters are very helpful.

  1. Active: Filter to only view Active variants

  1. Filter by: Product Name:
  • If you want to update one (or a handful) of products - you will see all variants for the product with this view

  1. FIlter by: Option 1:
  • If you only want to see coffee products, choose all bag sizes variants (and deselect other options) to only see coffee products
  • If you only want to see non coffee products, deselect all coffee bag size variants and leave the other options and blanks active
  • If you want to make update by a certain variant (example 12oz bags size), clear all filters and then select only the variant you want to view.

Filter Tips:

  • When Filtering - Select Clear to quickly deselect all options and then you can search or choose which options you want to filter by
  • You can select Multiple options to filter by
  • You can filter Multiple rows at one time
  • To remove a filter Right click on the filter icon, select Remove Filter

If your upload fails:

  • You may have a very large product CSV (especially since this csv download includes active and inactive variants)
  • We suggest only uploading the products you updated.
  • You can easily delete the inactive products from the csv file (filter by active - no)
  • Depending on what you updated, you can create a new CSV with just the updated products and upload that.
