How to Create Options
Option sets allow us to sell items with many variants. In this article will show you how to create option sets for non coffee products. You need create your options sets before you create the products they are connected to.
Example of a product with options:
- T shirt (Product)
- Sizes Available: Extra Small, Small, Medium and Large (option 1)
- Colors Available: Black, White, Gray, Yellow (option 2)

These options enable your customers to easily chose variants within one product when purchasing on the wholesale portal.
Create Options
We will show you how to create options with a few examples
creating a shirt for sale with color and size options.
- Go to Inventory, click on Options.
- Choose click the blue button on the right, New Option.
- Add the Name and Description.
For the Example of Size option, you will add Size as the name, and any other information in the Description, for internal use.
Note: When setting options, it is important to know that the NAME will be visible for the customers in the portal, whereas DESCRIPTION is only for internal information and will not be in customers portal.
- Add all the Options and SKU under items. For example, shirt sizes (XS, S, M, L, etc.) And then create a New Option, if colors will be the second option. See both examples here:
5. Click Create Option Set, to save this option.
Below is what this example for a shirt with size and color options looks in the portal:
Example 2 - Hot Cups To-Go
Another great example for using options sets is selling hot cups. In this case, there will be 2 options, 1 for quantity and one for the size.
- Create Option 1, Quantity. This gives the option of a the quantity of cups available to purchase. Item options can be to purchase by the:
- Sleeve (item 1)
- Case (item 2)
- Create Option 2, for Cup size.
- Click Create Option Set.
