Grinds: Creating Grind Options and Making them Unavailable or Exclusive
To create a new grind just follow these steps.
- Open the Inventory menu at the top of your screen
- Select the grind tab
- Click the “create new grind” button or select the grind you would like to edit
Note: During your initial set up, we’ve provide you with a few common grind types that you can quickly toggle on. You can edit these grinds, and add others, at any time.
- You may also turn grind offerings off and on when you are creating the actual product.
- The option for "Default active when creating new products?" should be turned on for your most common grind options. If this is turned on, when you create a new product those options will default to being active. If they are not not common, it is better to toggel this off.
Make a Grind Unavailable on the Portal
You can also make a grind unavailable to be purchased on the portal. This is scenario is common when you offer a grind variant on your commerce page but not through wholesale.
With this setting, the active grind variant of a product will not be displayed as an option for your wholesale customers on the portal.
- Visit the grind page (available from the main Inventory menu)
- Click "Edit" on the grind that you want to make unavailable
- Toggle on /off "Available on Portal"
Make a Grind Exclusive
You can make it so that only a certain customer or customer group can order a certain grind option. When this setting is on, the active grind variant of a product will only be displayed as an option on the portal for the selected wholesale customer (or customer group) you selected.
- Visit the grind page (available from the main Inventory menu)
- Click "Edit" on the grind that you want to make exclusive
- Toggle on /off "Exclusive"
- Choose the customer (you can choose more than one, or customer group you would like to apply to exclusivity to.
