Green Coffee: Bulk Create and Update via CSV

Bulk Updates on Green Coffees via CSV

You can make bulk updates to your green coffees via a CSV export and import.

You can:

• Create New Green Coffee
• Initial Inventory
• Adjustment Inventory
• Update green coffee data
• Activate or Deactivate coffees

Download the CSV (blank or with your current green coffees)

1. Navigate to Inventory > Green Coffees in the top menu bar.
2. Click the Export button to download a CSV file of your green coffees
3. Open the file,
4. Do not alter the headers or the ID column - it will not upload correctly if they've been changed
5. Review and make updates
   1. NOTE: Lot Name and Cost are Required
   2. See details of what each column means here.
6. Upload the changes into the app
7. You'll receive an email with the success/failure of the upload

Green Coffee Fields

COLUMNS

• ID: This is the ID assigned by RoasterTools to the Green Coffee
  • If you're creating new coffees, leave this blank
  • If you're updating existing coffee, do not change the ID.
• Active: This denotes if the green coffee is active or inactive, you can change the status of the coffee via the upload.  
  • True - Active
  • False - Inactive
  • If Blank - defaults to Active
• Lot ID: Not required, can update if needed
• Lot Name: Required
  • Can up date via upload
• Cost:
  • Required  (If unsure when creating, enter 0)
  • For new coffee - Can set the initial cost here
  • For existing coffee - do not use this to update costs,
    • create purchases for that (see this help article)
• ICO:
  • Not Required
  • Can update as needed
• Year:
  • Not Required
  • Can update as needed
• Certificates:
  • Not Required
  • Can update as needed

  • Must match the existing list of certificate options (comma-separated list for multiple) as listed below:

    Bird Friendly

    Direct Trade

    Fair Trade

    Organic

    Rainforest Alliance

    Utz Certified

• Weight (lb):
  • Not required
  • If updated, creates inventory adjustment
• External ID:
  • Not required
  • Used for matching + updates
  • Can use the External ID from another software, such as cropster, to match a green in RoasterTools to a Green Coffee from another system.
• Country/Origin:
