How to Enable SMS for Your Customers

Did you know that your customers are able to receive order reminders and confirmations via SMS? That's right, your customers' RoasterTools portal is just a text away!

Follow along with this easy process to get your customers set up with SMS today.

Adding the Phone Number

Start this process by going into your customers' contacts. Select Sales > Contacts then select Edit for your customer of choice.

On the edit page you will see an option to add a phone number. Select the country code and add your customer's phone number. Be sure to select the blue Update Contact button at the bottom of the form.

Confirming the Phone Number

After you have updated the contact, return to the customer Edit page. Next to the phone number field, select the grey Confirm SMS button.

The phone number must be confirmed in order to be active. Confirming requires that a contact responds 'Start' to the automated SMS message that is sent to their number.  No other messages will be sent unless the contact confirms that they want to receive messages from you.

Once the phone number is confirmed, a green check mark will appear next to the phone number field.

Adjusting Notifications

Once the phone number is confirmed, you can adjust your customer's notifications by selecting the grey Notifications button in the upper right on the Customer Contact Edit page. 

Here you will be given the option to toggle reminders and order confirmations for both text and email. This can be updated at any time.
